Cost-effective Intrusion Detection MMW radar with I/O Alarm Output for Residential Perimeter Protection

Why to use radar in perimeter surveillance?

Comparing with the traditional security technologies like video analytics, passive infared, and thermal etc, the radar is not affected by bad weather, and no false alarms by insects, shadows etc. It will save video record greatly, and guide camera to monitoring.

Advantage of radar detection:

*High Efficiency--- It works in 60GHz-ISM-Band for the detection of moving targets, adopts low power consuption FMCW modulation technology, it can penetrate rain, fog, haze , with strong adaptability to various environment.

*High Reliability---With advanced asynchronous signal filtering technology , the system is able to detect & identify human targets in any posture such as slow crawling, fast running, squat-walking,etc.
*Easy Operation---A variety of interfaces for you to choose, RJ45/RS232/RS485/Wi-Fi , 30 minutes deployment.

Radar features:

*Work in 60GHz-ISM-Band for the detection of moving targets

*Able to detect the moving targets in extremely slow speed and filter the interference of plants and trees

*Able to detect azimuth/range information about object

*Protection class: IP67

*With Ethernet interface and PoE

*CE, FCC, ROHS compliant

Radar Installation:

In order to ensure the accuracy of radar detection, radar detection plane is generally perpendicular to the perimeter region for the installation, and requires a certain installation height of 2~3meters (recommended installation height).

FAQ:

1) Q: Why there is no response when the radar sensor is powered up?

A: There will be two buzzer beeps when the radar is powered on. If you do not hear the sound, check whether the power line is connected well, and whether the polarity of power cord is correct. The radar power supply voltage should be 12V DC and the operating current should be about 400mA.

2) Q: Why it couldn't normally detect targets even if the radar is correctly powered on?

A: Please check whether the radar installation direction is correct. Kindly refer to "The definition of structure direction" to check. And with a special FMCW simulator to check whether the radar output is normal.

3) Q: Why there is target signal output when there is actually no target?

A: Please check whether the radar installation is aimed at the target area, and whether there is vibration for the radar installation pole. Check whether the ground connection is correct.
